Paul Pitassi, Michael: - MICHAEL PITASSI is a retired lawyer with a lifelong interest in naval warfare and ancient history which has led to a deep and abiding interest in the seagoing activities of the Romans and Greeks. He has published three previous books related to this subject, including The Roman Navy, Ships, Men & Warfare 350BC - AD475 (Seaforth). As well as writing on ancient navies he makes models of their ships.
