In this book, I use a lot of standard acupuncture points along with Master Tungs acupuncture and emphasize the use of channels and imaging for optimal clinical use. If a practitioner can use this work, they can have a turnkey approach in the clinic, simply by implementing these acupuncture and herbal protocols. The idea is for each disease, I have installed cheat sheets for the practitioner to immediately refer to and try to insert needles and prescribe herbs for. The fifth in the series of Master Tungs Acupuncture books, the idea is for someone to start with the Master Tungs Primer, The Best of Master Tungs Acupuncture, Master Tungs Acupuncture for Pain, and Master Tungs Acupuncture for Internal Medicine Disorders. With this manual, we will discuss the use of Master Tungs Acupuncture with herbals for even greater clinical success. The book is composed of monographs on each disease, best points to treat the problem, and high percentage success herbal prescriptions to give the patient as homework. Unique is that we only use a handful of both TCM and Master Tung points, and a small amount of herbal formulas for a turnkey approach to a clinic. This can be used as a roadmap for the new clinician, improve clinical success for the intermediate practitioner, or provide an alternative approach for the seasoned veteran.About the Author:Robert Chu is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, specializing in the Master Tung Acupuncture methods in which he effectively treats pain, sports injuries, and neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Chu also treats a wide variety of internal diseases including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, gynecological disorders, Parkinsons Disease and side-effects from cancer treatments. He is appointed by the Industrial Medical Council as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME). Dr. Chu was formerly affiliated with the St. Vincent Medical Center, as the first fulltime Acupuncturist on staff and treated cancer patients with Acupuncture, Herbal Therapy, Qigong and Tai Chi. Dr. Chu regularly volunteers at Pasadenas Cancer Support Community, where he does a weekly Qi Gong/Stress reduction class and monthly lifestyle/nutrition class. In addition, he also volunteers at Huntington Memorial Hospital teaching a weekly qigong class for those with Parkinsons Disease. He has also featured as a speaker for the American Cancer Society. In July of 2004, Dr. Chu was selected as the Acupuncturist to Olympic athletes at the Olympic Trials held in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Chu also lectures nationally and abroad on Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to provide continuing education to MDs and Acupuncturists. In 2005, he founded ITARA - International Tungs Acupuncture Research Association, to preserve, standardize, educate, and research new applications of the Tung family system of Acupuncture with integrity, and open sharing. ITARA has now grown with branches throughout the United States, Canada, U.K., Spain, France, and Finland. He has lectured at Samra University, Emperors College, SCUSOMA, ACAOM, CSOMA, AAOMA and other functions as a dynamic and entertaining speaker. He is presently on the faculty at Emperors College in Santa Monica, teaching students in the Doctorate program, and supervising externship students in Integrative Medicine at The Roy & Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank, California.
