\n \nWe are, indeed, lucky to inhabit the world with Bette and her team. Her impact is inspiring, and her resolve even more so because, like so many true heroes, again and again, she willingly stepped outside of her life and into the lives of others when it was needed the most; and while she makes it sound easy, make no mistake, to feel, give, and love as fully as Bette has involves extreme sacrifice. Thank you, Bette.\n \n\n \nBetsy Banks Saul\n \n\n \nCEO Heal House Call Veterinarian\n \n\n \nFounder Petfinder.com and 911FosterPets.com\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \nThe stories Bette Anderson shares in -Home At Last- True Lost Dog Stories are heart-warming and inspiring. Bette and her team combined remarkable instincts, sleuthing skills, tenacity, and compassion to make many families whole again. While others may have written off these pleas for help saying, 'It's just a dog, ' Bette knew these were lost family members and took up each challenge as a personal crusade. Others would have been defeated by extreme weather conditions and downright bad odds but not this team There are angels among us, and Bette and her team are chief amongst them. Having been in animal welfare work, I've seen and lived stories that could harden the softest of souls. Even so, Bette's book elicited more tears than this old dog should have left to shed. I know -Home At Last-True Lost Dog Stories will inspire others to get more involved in helping their neighbors-two and four-legged alike.\n \n\n \nJim Tedford, CAWA\n \n\n \nPresident and CEO\n \n\n \nSociety of Animal Welfare Administrators (SAWA)\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \nI found myself pulled into the reality of each dog's story in such a way that it seemed I was right there with the people who made a difference. Feeling the angst of each situation, followed by an uplifting resolution was heartwarming. Indeed, there are real guardian angels amongst us, helping lost pets. It is rare to discover individuals as dedicated as those portrayed in this book.\n \n\n \nDarlene Larson\n \n\n \nASPCA \n \n\n \nSenior Director, Community Initiatives (Retired)\n
