Descriere Sea Change: Stories of Transformation from the Life of a First Generation American - Daniel B. Mjolsness

\n \nDan Mjolsness's Sea Change is a literary time capsule, an entertaining cache of stories and memories covering the 92-year span that began with his birth to Norwegian immigrant parents in 1927 and takes the reader on a journey through the 20th Century and into this new era. What did his family do to survive the Great Depression? How did his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII affect his future? What experiences helped him become a respected school administrator who created innovative energy and vocational education programs? Sea Change explores these topics, and more. It explains the vital role Beverly Jean played throughout their 71 years together and delves into remnants from his hardscrabble childhood that blossomed into a retirement career as a racehorse owner. More than a memoir, this book of memories helps us understand not just who he is, but who we are.\n
