Tegus are interesting and hardy lizards that make great pets for those seeking a lizard that usually tolerates a moderate amount of handling. Most tegus become quite tame over time, and they display a number of unique behaviors that are fascinating to observe in person. Additionally, tegus have one of the broadest diets of any commonly kept lizard, which not only makes them easy to feed, but entertaining too. \n But while tegus are relatively easy to maintain in captivity, keepers must still learn all they can about the biology, behavior and natural history of these lizards to have a good chance at successful maintenance. \n Inside, you will find information about these animals, as well as the basic techniques keepers use to keep their tegus healthy and happy. \n The author, Ben Team, is an environmental educator and author with over 16 years of professional reptile-keeping experience. Ben currently maintains www.FootstepsInTheForest.com, where he shares information, narration and observations of the natural world. When not writing about plants, animals and habitats, Ben enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife. \n Covered in this book: \n - Acquiring \n - Anatomy \n - Behavior \n - Biology \n - Breeding \n - Captive Considerations \n - Daily Care \n - Description \n - Diet \n - Ecology \n - Enclosure \n - Health \n - Husbandry \n - Interaction \n - Lighting \n - Maintenance \n - Monitoring \n - Myths and Misunderstandings \n - Taxonomy \n - The ideal environment \n .... and much more \ntegus pets \n Tegus.
