The Church During the Search: Honoring Christ While You Wait for Your Next Pastor - Jason Lowe

Descriere The Church During the Search: Honoring Christ While You Wait for Your Next Pastor - Jason Lowe

\n \nThis book is a unique resource that speaks to the average person in the pew rather than to the Pastor Search Committee. What a needed resource Having observed Lowe in his varied ministry roles for several years now, I can assure you that he writes as one who is investing his life in seeing the church healthy and flourishing. This resource is an invaluable and lasting contribution to that end.\n \nPaul Chitwood, President, International Mission Board\n \n \n\n \nOccasionally a resource comes about that has the ability to help our churches in a transformational way. Usually these resources break ground in areas that have not been considered before. This is one of those resources. Structuring a book about the Pastor Search Process from the perspective and concerns of the congregant is genius \n \nRick Curtis, Convention and Associational Relations, North American Mission Board\n \n \n \nThis book and study by Jason Lowe will be a consolation and source of encouragement to many churches. I believe God will use it to bring churches comfort, hope, and continuity of ministry during the difficult time of being without a pastor. I highly recommend it \n \nRay Gentry, President and CEO, Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders\n \n \n \nIn this work, Jason Lowe helps church members consider their own role in the search process, and he challenges them to continue being the church in the interim period. The Bible is his guide, and healthy church transitions are his goal. You will find this work helpful, encouraging, and relevant.\n \nChuck Lawless, Dean of Doctoral Studies and Vice-President of Spiritual Formation and Ministry, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary\n \n \n\n \nAbout the Book\n \nChurch members are often left largely in the dark while the Pastor Search Committee goes about their task. Far too often, this leads to unnecessary frustration, suspicion, and conflict. The Church During the Search sheds light on the Pastor Search Process for the people in the pews so they can pursue Christ-honoring attitudes and behaviors throughout the search process.\n
