Descriere Embroidery: A Modern Guide to Botanical Embroidery - Arounna Khounnoraj

Arounna Khounnraj is a Canadian artist and maker based in Toronto, where she emigrated with her family from Laos at the age of four. While her education includes a master's in fine arts, it was through subsequent residencies that she found her current focus in fiber arts. In 2002 she started Bookhou, a multi-disciplinary studio with her husband John Booth. Together, they explore a variety of printing and embroidery techniques through making utilitarian objects such as bags, home goods and textiles. Arounna is a craft-influencer in her own right with a massive 211K followers on Instagram. She runs regular workshops and is recognized for her beautiful embroidery. Arounna has previously published Punch Needle (2019) and Visible Mending (2020) by Quadrille.
