Hoof Physics: How to Recognize the Signs of Hoof Distortion - Nadine Caban

Descriere Hoof Physics: How to Recognize the Signs of Hoof Distortion - Nadine Caban

\n \nAre you happy with your horse's hooves? \n \n \n\n \nSometimes, blind faith in diagnoses, traditional methods and treatments for hoof irregularities in horses is simply not enough. An informative and educational change in perspective can illustrate the principle of cause and effect and the right solution becomes visible.\n \n \n\n \nNadine Caban, trained at the Institute for Hoof Orthopedics in Germany, presents within this book a novel approach to solve hoof problems for the long term, an alternative to the existing conventional hoof trimming methods. As a German Hoof Orthopedist, she has been working and teaching for nearly 20 years in Europe and now trains students in the United States. Over the years she has addressed hundreds of cases which inspired her to write this book to introduce Preventive Hoof Care abroad and spread knowledge on the topic.\n \n \n\n \nHoof Physics packs within it the awareness you need in order to accurately read the first signs of hoof irregularities. It covers problems like Laminitis, Club Foot, White Line Disease, Canker, Thrush and lots more. The author explains how existing trimming techniques can have a negative impact on the horse's hoof morphology and how Preventive Hoof Care will instead address the root cause of the hoof problem in order to prevent further deformities or hoof diseases. This book does not offer any tips for hands-on training, as hoof treatment should be learned in a thorough education which is often the exact reason why many hooves suffer. Hoof physics is intended to inspire the reader, whether horse owner or professional, to take a closer look at the hoof shape of their horses and eventually question previous approaches.\n
