\nPsychological insight and humor abound in this lovely book... Readers of all ages and persuasions are in for a treat. This is a one-stop shop, a thriller that succeeds as a portrait of tragedy, survival, and redemption. \n\n -David Allen, Pacific Book Review \n\n \n \n\n Captivating, mind-bending and entertaining author Ruth Cherry, PhD's Something's Going On Here is a must-read mystery and suspense book. \n\n -Reviewed by Christina Avina, Hollywood Book Review \n\n \n \n\n \n \n Something's Going On Here delivers on the title's promise of mystery and intrigue. Nick Gray has retired from teaching English for twenty-five years at Penn. State and moved to the west coast at his cousin's insistence. While beautiful on the surface, the small community of Los Osos bubbles with deception, fear, betrayal, and manipulation. As Nick comes to know the residents, he learns about himself. This small town challenges, frustrates, and, ultimately, saves Nick. In this archetypal mid-life story, the hero in Nick emerges as he encounters his own unresolved conflicts which must heal for him to survive life in Los Osos. \n\n \n \n\n I've practiced as a clinical psychologist for forty years. Something's Going On Here roots in a strong psychological/spiritual orientation. In mid-life all of us are called to greater heights and depths than we've known. The action of the story confounds but the deeper message about trusting our personal guidance will resonate with readers. \n\n \n \n\n
