The World According to Championship Manager 01/02 - David Black

Descriere The World According to Championship Manager 01/02 - David Black

\nRemember when the England football team were so popular that people were queueing up to sing about them? The 2002 World Cup was meant to see Sven-Goran Eriksson lead the so-called golden generation to the next level. After all, 'Golden Balls' was captain, and Heskey made it 5... But as the tournament grew nearer, the country all learned what a metatarsal was and the injuries kept coming. Did it have to be this way for England? Could I do any better? Following the success* of The World According to Championship Manager 1997/98, we're rolling the proverbial dice again and heading back to Championship Manager 2001/02 to see if things could turn out differently. That means the 5-1 in Germany didn't happen, and Beckham never had his crowning moment against Greece to secure qualification. But more importantly, David Seaman hasn't been lobbed by Ronaldinho. Can England better their last 8 performance from the real thing? Is anybody capable of stopping Wenger's Arsenal completing the double? Will Bosko Balaban score a single goal for Aston Villa? So join me in the summer of 2001 - England have got to get a result in Munich, don't you know? *By success I mean people outside of my immediate family willingly purchased it
