Billionaire Island: Cult of Dogs - Mark Russell

Descriere Billionaire Island: Cult of Dogs - Mark Russell

\nA new volume of the near-future satire that's simultaneously infuriating and hysterically funny in its indictment of not just the 1%, but of the people--and the economic system--that enable them (Comics Beat). From acclaimed writer/artist team Mark Russell and Steve Pugh. \nBillionaire Island, tax-free, unregulated hideaway of the richest people on Earth, is no more! Two years after its fall, the global economy lies in ruins and the President of the United States must resign in disgrace. But a cult has risen up around Business Dog, canine inheritor of what's left of Billionaire Island. Can this unlikely savior stop the world's descent into climate change? Where is B.D., anyway? And who's the man behind the dog? \n \nSeries author Mark Russell describes Billionaire Island: Cult of Dogs as the story of how a planet doubles down on its faith that money will save them, and how a dog becomes the focal point of that ill-advised religion. The press calls BI a uniquely enjoyable read (Forbes), devastating satire (EW) that satirizes capitalism's endgame (The Hollywood Reporter). \n \n Billionaire Island Volume 2: Cult of Dogs collects all 6 issues of the series.\n
