Descriere Fasting - Anthony Borisov

\n \nThis book is designed to help children understand the purpose of fasting in the Orthodox Church. It begins by talking about the difference between dieting for health reasons and fasting for God. Later on, it looks at the Biblical basis for fasting, highlighting how Christ Himself fasted in the desert. From there it goes on to talk about when we fast (looking at the Church year with its seasons of feasting and fasting), why we fast, and then later, explains what is more important than food in order to fast in a God-pleasing way.\n
