Descriere The History Of Retrievers (A Vintage Dog Books Breed Classic - Labrador - Flat-Coated Retriever - Golden Retriever) - Charles C. Eley

\nOriginally published in 1921, this is one of the earliest detailed works on Retrievers and Retriever Trials. It is both expensive and hard to find in its first edition. VINTAGE DOG BOOKS have republished it, using the original text, as part of their CLASSIC BREED BOOKS series. Two hundred and sixteen pages contain seven detailed chapters: - The Flat-Coated Retriever. Early History. - The Flat-Coated Retriever. History. - The History of the Labrador. - The Labrador at Field Trials. - Curly-Coated and Golden Retrievers. - The Future of Retriever Trials by Captain Harry Eley. - A Record of Retriever Trials by Walter Baxendale. This is a fascinating read for any Retriever enthusiast or historian of the breeds, but also contains much information that is still useful and practical today. Men who shoot without dogs tire of sport early in life, whilst all who are fond of animals and of training them retain a long lasting pleasure in it. F.R. Bevan. 1891. Many of the earliest dog breed books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. VINTAGE DOG BOOKS are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
