Soul's Scribe - Kate Nicholas

Descriere Soul's Scribe - Kate Nicholas

\nSoul's Scribe helps you to make sense of your life story and gives you the confidence to effectively share your testimony with others. Aristotle once said that 'Memory is the scribe of the Soul' but all too often it is only at the end of our lives that we review our own life story. 'Soul's Scribe' encourages us to take that step here and now, to look back over our own life and see where God has been at work, guiding our paths, shifting our trajectory and lifting us up even in the darkest moments. Each chapter provides food thought about God's narrative, how it relates to you and how you experience God in the world at different stages of your life. You are invited to identify the main themes of your life that connect past and present to help you to understand your life as a coherent whole. At the end of this reflective process, you will have the tools to step out and tell your own story with confidence. 'Soul's Scribe' makes the connection between your own personal story and God's narrative and enables you to see your own life as an adventure, full of purpose and meaning. \n'This is storytelling at its best. In this manual for life, Kate brings clarity and accessibility, portraying profound truths about God and life in a beautifully understated way. Practical yet inspiring and rooted in biblical truth, Kate weaves together God's story with her own personal tale of lessons learnt along the road, inspiring us all to look back on the chapters of our own lives and showing us that each and every one of us has a soul story to tell.' Chine McDonald, writer, broadcaster and Head of Public Engagement, Christian Aid \n'Kate Nicholas writes with verve and passion. Drawing on her experience as a top professional communicator, she offers her readers the tools to explore their own faith journey and tell their story. Inspirational and practical.' Sarah Meyrick, novelist and Director, Bloxham Festival of Faith and Literature \n'This book begins with one of the most powerful and evocative passages of retelling God's narrative I have ever read, and goes on to reveal that each one of us is - incredibly - part of his great symphony. Each one of us has a story which is part of God's own. Drawing on psychology, philosophy, history, personal testimony, and rooted firmly in the Bible, this beautifully written book will help you discover the unique story of your soul.' Emily Owen, speaker and author, www.emily-owen.co.uk \n'Another inspiring work from Kate Nicholas. In Soul
