Reflexive Supervision: a workbook for learning within and across professions - Bobby Moore

Descriere Reflexive Supervision: a workbook for learning within and across professions - Bobby Moore

\n \nAre you constantly helping others to work through their emotional struggles and find that at the end of the day, you're emotionally wiped too? \n \nWhether you work in health, social care, education, faith, or even business management and entrepreneurship, professions that address human needs call for reflexive supervision. Psychotherapist Bobby Moore argues that supervision, a debated tradition among some professions, encourages practitioner self-care and professional development, consequently leading to more helpful interventions with clients. In Reflexive Supervision, Moore introduces his Process Framework, a tool for practitioners to process the emotional experiences they endure. \n \nIn this practical workbook, Moore offers\n \n- a collection of practitioner experiences that apply across several professions, \n- exercises for applying the Process Framework in one-on-one conversations and in group supervision, \n- the theoretical background regarding the Process Framework, and \n- reflection tools for applying supervision concepts in your own work. \nIntended for both supervisors and supervisees, Reflexive Supervision is unlike a textbook or how-to guide. Rather, this workbook offers practitioner experiences to open skeptical minds to the benefits of supervision and reflection. Through the development of emotional, theoretical, and practical intelligence, supervisees will be able to help their clients-and themselves-heal.\n
