Descriere Alpha-Theta Neurofeedback in the 21st Century: A Handbook for Clinicians and Researchers - Antonio Martins-mourao

\n \nAlpha-Theta Neurofeedback in the 21st Century is a new handbook on neurofeedback treatment of emotional trauma and substance abuse, now in its expanded second edition featuring three new chapters, including an introduction to neurofeedback, brainwaves and neurofeedback training for psychotherapists and other newcomers interested the field. Peniston and Kulkosky's evidence that training specific brain frequencies could lead to the reprocessing and subsequent remission of traumatic symptoms in alcoholic war veterans with PTSD was revolutionary for its time. They were the first to use technology to tap into the brain's ability to unlock traumatic memories, showing that unresolved emotional issues could be retrieved and revised in memory in an objective and systematic way. Thirty years after Eugene Peniston's publications, Alpha-Theta Neurofeedback in the 21st Century is the first comprehensive clinical guide to the treatment of emotional trauma for neurotherapists and psychotherapists.\n
