Follow the life steps of Houston E. Lowe, from his country birth in 1919, as he is renamed 868 by his Japanese captors. The book chronicles his miraculous life of almost one-hundred years, including the gruesome details of the forty tortuous months as an American POW in World War II after his capture following the Battle of Corregidor. At the hands of his Japanese captors, his faith and courage are tested as he survives torture and starvation in multiple prison camps and the deadly voyage aboard the Japanese Hell Ship, the Noto Maru. Covered by his country grit from his father, Houston Lee, and the blanket of prayer by his godly mother, Nora Ellen; he survives to leave his legacy today. His unwavering faith as God carried him through countless miraculous events, and his iron-clad dedication to the United States of America is an inspiration. If you no longer believe in miracles, this book is a must-read!
