This is a fictional novel of a son, estranged from his enigmatic father after years of mutual sparring. Liam Mayfair loses all hope of reconciliation with his father when J.W. Mayfair, naval war hero and renowned trial attorney, is killed aboard Flight 800 off the coast of Long Island on July 17, 1996. When Liam accidentally discovers a recording that reveals the true cause of the crash, he is suddenly catapulted out of self-pitying complacency and deep depression into the firestorm of an international terrorist conspiracy and massive government cover-up. Liam Mayfair, barely turned 23 years old, is faced with the moral dilemma of a lifetime as he reluctantly teams up with a retired FBI agent to foil a plot to destroy him, his family, and the truth. This is a compelling story about the risks and rewards involved in his search for that elusive truth. Liam's Promise is a tale of one man's decision to follow his conscience despite the devastating costs which threaten his family and country.
