Descriere You Don't Have to Be a Star to Shine: Discovering the Writer Within/ A Guide for Writing Creative Non-fiction and fiction - Shanna Lee James

James, Shanna Lee: - I always thought of myself as an ordinary person who did rather ordinary things. That is until one day something happened. Though I had a career in nursing, I found there was 'more' beneath my nurse's cap, yet to be discovered! I had a story to tell and one that must be told! I delved deeper, and found a star-just waiting to shine. You see, you and I do not have to have celebrity status or a famous name to shine. I invite you to join me in this exciting adventure of self-discovery, to see if a story is waiting for you to start. My first book, a memoir, began as a dream, but through taking those first steps, it became a published book and shines amid the stars in this wonderful galaxy of authors! If you were reflecting on all your accomplishments, would you be completely fulfilled, having no regrets, or might there be more? They say it is not the things we 'did' in life that we regret but the things we did not do. If you have ever said or thought, I could write a book, but would not know where to start, this book was written for you. Through my experience in writing, I use wit and humor, storytelling, and examples of how to organize your thoughts into pages and chapters for fiction and nonfiction. Writing need not be daunting, and out of reach. Even the renown authors started somewhere. Their star shines for all to enjoy, and so can yours! Why not reach for the stars? Could it be those twinkling stars are calling to you? There is always room for one more!
