Carry On, Jeeves - P. G. Wodehouse

Descriere Carry On, Jeeves - P. G. Wodehouse

\nWritten by renowned humorist P. G. Wodehouse, Carry On, Jeeves is a collection of ten short stories that follow well-loved characters Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves. Wodehouse is best known for these characters and the multiple stories that feature them, and Carry On, Jeeves is only one selection of the series. In Wodehouse's verse, Bertie is a rich English traveler whose less-than-intelligent choices often land him in trouble. Jeeves, his valet, is known to use his smarts in order to save Bertie, or one of his friends, from numerous conflicts. Bertie and Jeeves are often referred to as one of the great comic double-acts of all time and have inspired movies, television shows, and even musicals. In this collection, filled with the usual humorous hijinks of Jeeves and Wooster, readers will find stories such as Jeeves Takes Charge, which tells of how Jeeves came to work for Bertie-and how Jeeves first saves Bertie from an unhappy engagement. This classic, timeless duo bring their quirky friends, dastardly plots, and hilarious exchanges to their stories time and time again thanks to Wodehouse's ingenious comedic writing.\n
