Descriere CoDiscovery: Exploring the Legacy of Robert F. Barkley, DDS - Paul A. Henny

\nMost dentists are familiar with the words CoDiscovery and CoDiagnosis, yet few are familiar with the origin of the words and their true intended purpose. CoDiscovery and CoDiagnosis are key steps in a three-stage participative patient development process Bob Barkley called Three Phase Adult Education. The purpose of Three Phase Adult Education is to take a person who is generally unaware of the extent and complexity of their situation, strategically elevate their understanding, connect that understanding to what's most important to them, and facilitate the taking of appropriate action. It's a predictable process when a dentist and care team learn how to understand each person on a level that they are able to function as empathetic, principal-centered leaders. \n \nThis book explores the origin of Three Phase Adult Education and explains how and why it works so well. Additionally, it provides numerous examples of how the concepts are applied, as well as how it positively influenced the lives and practice trajectories of many of greatest leaders in dentistry.\n \n As every reader knows, the profession of dentistry is rapidly changing. Increased efficiencies, technology, practice consolidation and corporatization are making dentistry look more and more like a well-paid, highly skilled trade instead of a true healthcare profession. CoDiscovery helps you understand these trends (and therefore your choices) and by so doing, creates the opportunity to develop a preferred future.\n
