The Nativity Phenomenon: A Model That Works - Jack Podsiadlo

Descriere The Nativity Phenomenon: A Model That Works - Jack Podsiadlo

\nThe story of the Nativity Phenomenon is a story of dreams.\n \n \n\n \nDuring the first half of the 20th century, early visionaries on the Lower East Side of New York City saw a huge problem: many immigrants fell into a cycle of poverty and violence due to a lack of empathy, resources, and education. What was the solution? Empathy, resources, and education. \n \n \n\n \nThe Nativity Phenomenon was born because risk-takers dared to do the unorthodox. That passion for equity in education exists today; classrooms are filled with students who are hungry-materially, socially, and spiritually. The model flourished and spread across the USA and Canada because other risk-takers joined in. \n \n \n\n \nThe Nativity Phenomenon: A Model that Works is the story of an educational adventure that opens pathways to a productive future and provides educational justice for students from underserved, economically challenged families. Readers can dive into the history of the program, but more importantly, into the stories of Nativity graduates, their teachers, and volunteers.\n \n \n\n \nEducational justice is a right for all. The Nativity Phenomenon shows how this dream became a reality.\n
