Descriere Translating and Illustrating Tolkien: Peter Roe Series XXIII - Will Sherwood

\nJ.R.R. Tolkien's works have gained global appeal, leading to translations\n \nin over thirty languages and a host of stylistically unique illustrations.\n \nAs a translator and illustrator himself, Tolkien was acutely aware of the\n \nchallenges and benefits that both bring to a written text. Translating and\n \nIllustrating Tolkien explores what these processes add to, emit from, or\n \ncomplement Tolkien's original text.\n \n \n\n \nHosted online, the Tolkien Society 2021 autumn seminar concluded\n \nthe year's trilogy of seminars, collectively welcoming over 1600 people\n \nfrom across the globe. Published under the auspices of the Society's Peter\n \nRoe Memorial Fund, this proceedings features a collection of six papers\n \ndelivered at the Tolkien Society 2021 Autumn seminar.\n
