How To Play The Harmonica Blues: Which harmonica do I need for which blues key? - Alex Cockle

Descriere How To Play The Harmonica Blues: Which harmonica do I need for which blues key? - Alex Cockle

That howl and wail from the harmonica, also known as the harp or mouth organ, is so unforgettable. We all long play a few blues licks on the harmonica when we are out with friends sitting around a camp fire on the beach at night. From a technical point of view, the harmonica is as worthy of respect as any other. It has been enjoyed by many and it's complexity now mastered on many recordings. It is brilliantly designed, a lethal party stopper and it's in your hands now. I can reflect on countless occasions when I have been lucky to have had a harmonica in my pocket and then walked on to an amplified stage full of musicians to play a screaming harmonica solo. It is always a thrill and great when people say how much they enjoyed the sound. Your approach should be slow and steady, learn to play the major scale of the key that your harmonica is in and the names of the notes before moving on to the blues and how to bend notes. This book is a home grown approach enjoyed by all my students.
