Descriere Acupuncture and Infrared Imaging: Essays by theoretical physicist & professor of oriental medicine in research - Shui Yin Lo

\nThe Chinese acupuncturists use needles to treat at least one hundred fifty kind diseases with successes for thousands of years on more than one billion people with remarkable success.\n \n \n\n \nBut it has not been accepted by the main stream Western medicine, and taught in main stream medical school. Probably it is due to two factors: theoretically it has not been explained by modern science, and second there is no quantitative objective evidence for it. \n \n \n\n \nThis book answers these two questions. It provides modern scientific explanation to important concepts, especially meridians and qi. What are meridians made up of? What are acupoints? What is qi? Can they be seen? \n \n \n\n \nThis book presents copious pictures taken by infrared images method. They provide the objective evidence how acupuncture works, what are meridians made up of, and what is the measurable effect of qi. Each thermograph has more than ten thousand pixels. Each pixel is associated with one temperature to the accuracy of 0.1 0 C. So the science of acupuncture becomes a quantitative science with enormous accurate numbers as supporting evidence. \n \n \n\n \nThis book contains twenty nine easy to read articles, which cover many important topics in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Each essay has at least one infrared image, So the reader can see the images for himself, and understand that there are incredible accurate data supporting acupuncture and Chinese medicine.\n \n \n\n
