Seder Tu Bishevat: The Festival of Trees - Adam Fisher

Descriere Seder Tu Bishevat: The Festival of Trees - Adam Fisher

Tu Bishevat - the 15th day of the Hebrew month Shevat - is a day of celebration for the renewal of trees and for all of nature. By the month of Shevat, the winter rains are mostly over and the period of budding and flowering is just beginning. It is the time when the sap begins to flow once again. SEDER TU BISHEVAT is a major contribution to Jewish life. Rabbi Adam Fisher has explored the range of traditions pertaining to Tu Bishevat, from its origins through the Kabbalistic tradition and into the modern era, in assembling this poetic Seder. It is ideal for congregational and home use. Two versions are provided, with one suitable for occasions with young children. A wealth of supplementary material and an unusually rich selection of music makes each Seder a unique event.
