Cringerotica - Soli

Descriere Cringerotica - Soli

Where words come together in fresh combinations and unfaltering questions are asked, CRINGEROTICA finds itself. Through religion, myth, and social commentary, Soli uncovers territory both alluring and new. Clever, odd, and at times quite funny, CRINGEROTICA is wholly unique. -Rose McCoy, author of WHEN THE WORLD DIDN'T END Grand in scope, scale and style, concerning both the biblical and the humane, this collection from poet Soli explores the contrasting themes of love and grief with a rich and complex reverence. CRINGEROTICA is a tapestry weaving together concepts of sin, divinity, hope and desperation to present the poignant juxtaposition of life as both burden and beauty. -Devon Webb, Managing Editor at Naked Cat Press Every word on these pages is written with exact intention, intimately revealing themes of nature, religion, myth and lore, barn animals and the right to exist, among others. The language in these poems consumes you like vines or a warm hug. CRINGEROTICA is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. While not wholly cringey in any way it did make me revert to my teenage self. I want to gush about these poems, tell all my friends but at the same time keep it like a secret, make fanart, write excerpts on my skin and post it on Tumblr. I moaned reading this work, while not wholly erotic either. There is something so satisfying about reading words you forgot existed until that moment, reading something brand new that you've never read anything like, something that encapsulates the feelings you didn't know you had. -S. McKiernan, co-Editor-in-Chief of Partially Shy Magazine
