Costa Simoes, Angela: - Angela Costa Simoes is an author dedicated to preserving language, culture, and identity through storytelling. As a Portuguese diaspora voice, her work is rooted in a deep commitment to ensuring that future generations remain connected to their heritage-not just in memory, but in everyday life. She writes bilingual children's books as a bridge between generations, helping families pass down the Portuguese language in a way that feels natural, engaging, and meaningful. For Angela, language is more than communication-it carries history, values, and a sense of belonging. Her books are designed to keep that connection alive, especially for children growing up outside of Portugal.Through her storytelling, Angela brings to life the richness of Portuguese culture-its legends, historical figures, traditions, and everyday experiences. She captures both the beauty of the homeland and the unique journey of those who live between cultures, documenting what it means to grow up as part of the Portuguese diaspora. Her work serves as both a cultural archive and a celebration-ensuring that stories, language, and identity are not lost over time, but instead continue to evolve, resonate, and inspire.
