Descriere Death at the Doorstep: A Karin Niemi Mystery - Linda W. Fitzgerald

A celebrity psychic is murdered. \n\n A computer science student dies mysteriously. \n\n And Michigan's favorite college town will never be the same. \n\n \n \n \nIt's fall in Ann Arbor and the locals are focused on their favorite blood sport: politics. Everyone is buzzing about the highly suspect mid-term elections. Everyone, that is, except freelance writer and recent widow Karin Niemi. All she wants is to be left alone with her cat, her work and her seemingly endless grief. \n \n \n \nBut her best friend Bixie has other plans for her, plans that include a session with Dana Lewis, Ann Arbor's celebrity psychic and energy healer. Problem is, when Karin arrives for her appointment, she stumbles onto a murder scene. Soon, suspicion falls on Dana's daughter, Isabel-also a close friend of Bixie's. Before she knows it, Karin is drawn into a do-it-yourself murder investigation that leads her into the heart of a Big 10 University... the remarkably messy lives of Ann Arbor's social and political elite... the esoteric realm of black-hat geeks and black-box voting... and the treacherous currents of a very unwise sexual attraction. \n \n \n \nWithin a short time, Karin, Bixie and their friend Paul are getting closer than they ever expected to the truth. In the process, they disrupt the lives of senior faculty, local politicos, police officials, social divas, celebrity surgeons, no-nonsense cops and, somewhere among them, a murderer. One who's prepared to strike again...this time on Karin's own doorstep. \n \n \n\n
