Buck, is dedicated to the author's dear mother, Carrie Lee Helaire-Davis, and runs the gamut from early experiences of childhood to personal trials and tribulations of the author. Plantation life bred in him the value of hard work and the need for Christian values. His career was that of a high school physical education instructor/coach, upon receiving a B.S. degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, and an M.A. from Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn. Social interests were invested in memberships/ service with Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Knights of Peter Claver, Knights of Columbus, and tours with First Tee of America and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His inspiration to get into the literary field stems from the untimely deaths of two beloved siblings.
