Leaders in Heels - Pastor Paul Cannings

Descriere Leaders in Heels - Pastor Paul Cannings

\nIn the twenty-first century, the role of women in the Bible has been the subject of\n \nbooks, sermons, podcasts, and social media posts. Dr. Paul Cannings' latest book, \n \nLeaders in Heels, highlights women who modeled abandon and devotion to God. For\n \nthat, they found themselves in Scripture's divine spotlight.\n \n \n\n \nCannings sets the record straight on how women were foundational to the\n \nforward progress of the Kingdom of God in the Old and New Testaments. Take\n \nBathsheba, who educated and sat enthroned next to a king. Mary of Bethany\n \nassembled with men and learned at the feet of Jesus, leaving her sister to busy herself\n \nwith household affairs (for which the Lord commended Mary). \n \n \n\n \nMary Magdalene braved Golgotha and later trekked, before sunrise, to the tomb. She conversed with angels, was the first to see and talk to the risen Christ ─ and was the first the Lord commissioned to proclaim news of His resurrection. Phoebe, a courier for the Apostle Paul, braved treacherous roads to deliver his letter to the Romans, singular focus blaring.\n \n \n\n \nIndeed, as though aiming to shatter ancient stereotypes, Jesus Christ elevated\n \nthe status of women during His earthly ministry. The time is now for Christendom to\n \nunderstand and accept the high value the Lord places on women surrendered to Him.\n \nThis book is a must-read for all believers in Jesus Christ. Thus, it is our prayer that\n \nreaders approach this book with an open mind ... and heart.\n \n \n\n \nMignette Y. Dorsey, D.Min.\n \nEditor\n
