The Shellfish Grift - Mike Rose

Descriere The Shellfish Grift - Mike Rose

\nMatt Sheehan enjoyed his life as the manager of a small coastal town in North Carolina. The former smooth-talking, calculated con man traded his life of scams and hustles for legitimate public service. But all that changed when a local resident and oyster farmer was found floating in waters on the sound side of this barrier island. At the same time, new legislation was proposed regarding dredging and beach nourishment. Millions of dollars are at stake and the impacts to the little island town could be devastating. Something doesn't feel right to Matt, but was it important enough to commit murder? To make matters even more complicated, Matt's former lover Aoife Kathleen Kenny, shows up after leaving him years before.\n \n \n\n \nThe more Matt digs, the more confusing it gets. What he finds are two bungling idiots who think they are going to find Blackbeard's treasure, somehow connected to some very powerful political figures. As Matt and his gang follow the money, they find out just how deep the corruption goes. Now it's time for them to run their own con, and avoid ending up like the dead oyster farmer.\n \n \n\n \nTime is running out, and Matt has to stay focused, which is hard for him with Aoife around. Who will win when it all comes to a head?\n \n \n\n \nThis rambunctious and lovable cast of characters find themselves in the middle of murder and governmental corruption in this beach thriller with a splash of romance.\n
