Descriere Every Day Is a New Day: A Story of Faith - Jenny Teeters

Jenny Teeters seemed to have it all - a successful corporate career, an executive MBA, past marathon running accomplishments, a fulfilling role as a Zumba instructor, a loving husband, and two beautiful children. However, behind the scenes, she was engaged in a dark battle with alcoholism that was slowly destroying her from the inside out. \n In her brutally honest and inspiring memoir Every Day Is A New Day: A Story of Faith, Teeters pulls back the curtain on her tumultuous journey from utter despair and hopelessness to the brilliant light of recovery. With raw unflinching candor, she recounts her darkest moments - the lies, devastation, losses, and constant struggle to numb her inner turmoil with alcohol. Yet it was this stark unveiling of her rock bottom that became the catalyst for change. \n Teeters's redemption came in the form of the 'gift of desperation', a profound surrender to her powerlessness over alcohol that allowed her to finally embrace a new path. Drawing strength from faith, the fellowship of others, ruthless honesty, and an unwavering willingness to change, she embarked on a life-altering Twelve Step journey. \n What emerges is a gripping and courageous narrative of one woman's escape from the grip of addiction and reclamation of her life in its most magnificent form. From the ashes of surrender, Teeters demonstrates how hitting rock bottom can be a beautiful awakening to rebirth, growth, and spiritual renewal. \n With vulnerability, wisdom and hard-won insights, Every Day Is A New Day: A Story of Faith imparts a powerful message of hope. No darkness is too deep for God to penetrate, and through faith, fellowship and rigorous inner work, even those who seem most hopeless and lost can rediscover their inherent wholeness, peace, and joy. \nJenny Teeters seemed to have it all - a successful corporate career, an executive MBA, past marathon running accomplishments, a fulfilling role as a Zumba instructor, a loving husband, and two beautiful children.
