Descriere Annie's Redemption: A St. Kitts Adventure - Maryann Bucknum Brinley

\nIn Annie's Redemption: a St. Kitts Adventure, Annie is a 74-year-old grandmother on a vacation with three granddaughters and staying in their beloved Caribbean home on St. Kitts. At 3:45 a.m., she wakes up to a nightmare: 13-year-old Ellie has been kidnapped from a second-floor bedroom. Her two cousins are screaming. The house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean backs up to a mountain. Annie must act quickly. She's physically fit and knows the geography. She's been visiting for 40 years so she understands intimately how island police work. She realizes that she needs to go fast and on her own. Time is precious. She leaves the other girls, Lizzie, 16, and Abigail, 15, at the house to await the arrival of police. \nPhysically fired and wired by what scientists call hysterical strength, a storm of adrenaline and other hormones and fueled by the fear of losing a granddaughter, Annie keeps right on running while memories flood her busy brain. Will this disaster destroy everything that she loves? Could it ruin her happy family? Her life? Will her kids ever forgive her if Ellie is gone or dead? Can she redeem herself? \nWhat Annie discovers about herself, St. Kitts, her family, the behind-the-scenes power of the U.S. military, and an intuitive lovable donkey named Lady are extraordinary.\n
