Descriere At the Master's Feet - Sadhu Sundar Singh

Parker, Arthur: - Rev. Arthur Parker was a Christian missionary, translator, and writer associated with the London Mission in Travancore, India, during the early twentieth century. He is best remembered in connection with Sadhu Sundar Singh, whose teachings he helped bring to English-language readers. In early editions of At the Master's Feet, Parker is credited as translator, and the work's publication history also connects him and Mrs. Parker with the English presentation of Singh's devotional writings.Parker's importance lies in his role as a bridge between Indian Christian spirituality and the wider English-speaking Christian world. Working from within the missionary context in India, he helped present Singh not merely as a subject of biography, but as a living spiritual teacher whose thought deserved careful transmission. Parker also wrote introductory and biographical material on Singh, including work associated with Sadhu Sundar Singh: Called of God, further helping to establish Singh's reputation among Western readers interested in Christian devotion, missionary history, Indian Christianity, and modern Christian mysticism.
