Through Pleated Light - Liam Heneghan

Descriere Through Pleated Light - Liam Heneghan

\nAmong his late father's papers, Dublin-born editor Liam Heneghan uncovered a trove of puzzling manuscripts translated from Old Irish: A long-suppressed chronicle of the tense years preceding the great war between banished faeries (the Sidhe) and the Gaels. All the more peculiar, the translator-a modern Dubliner, Patrick-claims to recognize himself in the ancient stories, as a companion to its central character, Sadb.\n \n\n \nSadb, a child born to an forbidding faerie mother and an all-too-human father, must come to terms with her dual nature and develop the skills necessary to alter the course of the impending war. Can she pass through the pleated light to reunite with her mother and avert catastrophe? Can the translator truly be Saint Patrick himself, displaced in time?\n \n\n \nThis unique blend of mythology, magical realism, and pseudo-history brings readers back to an Ancient Ireland stranger and more captivating than ever imagined.\n
