Star-Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots - Todd Starnes

Descriere Star-Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots - Todd Starnes

Star-Spangled Blessings will introduce you to patriots who discovered the secret to happiness was not politics or power, but a life lived as an Ambassador for Christ. \nPresident Reagan once called the Western White House his Open Cathedral. It's a bit ironic because Reagan's Rancho del Cielo is hardly palatial. It's a simple ranch house on more than six hundred acres of mountain land. Reagan spent many years riding horses on the dusty trails. \n \nBut there was one particular spot that brought him great comfort. Whenever the president was facing a moment of crisis, he would visit a place that would become known as the Psalm 121 Overlook. \n \nI look to the hills from whence cometh my strength. My help cometh from the Lord--the Maker of heaven and earth. \n \nReagan found strength and encouragement in those words, as did many of the great American patriots we introduce to you in these pages. \n \nWhat a blessing to know that so many of our leaders placed their faith in a much higher power than Washington, DC. \n \nMichelle and I hope that you, too, will be strengthened and inspired by our little devotion book. Our nation has such a rich and vibrant Christian heritage, and it's our hope that you will find many Star-Spangled Blessings!\n
