Descriere The Modern British Army: Volume 2 -- 2025 and Beyond: The Army the Nation Needs? - Richard A. Rinaldi

Examines the state of the British Army in 2025, focusing on its organization, reviews, and equipment updates. \n \nThe October 2024 revision of the British Army's website carried the headnote 'The Army The Nation Needs: Protecting the United Kingdom and helping it prosper by fighting and winning our battles from the land'. Volume 2 of The Modern British Army seeks to examine the current state of Britain's ability to fight and sustain a conventional land war in the immediate future. \n \nSince the end of the Cold War the British Army has undergone a seemingly endless series of reviews, each inevitably reducing personnel strength and equipment holdings. The 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has brought the question of defence, and the state of the British Army in particular, into sharp focus. \n \nVolume 2 of The Modern British Army continues the examination of the effects of recent reviews and equipment programmes, and takes an in-depth look at the organisation of the Army as it stands in early 2025. \n \nThis volume includes over 130 high quality full colour photographs and 20 specially commissioned colour artworks.
