Descriere The Many Lives of Alice Green - Stephanie Patek

The boy. The rose. Her voice. It is never the end. Feeling anti-social and spiritless towards her work, Sophie Spencer longs to feel connected again. Her Avon Lake community is at odds, torn by pending development and social uproar never before seen in this historical gem. It is not until she comes upon Alice Green's grave at the Lake Shore Cemetery that her mind is opened to the past and her future is nudged by the unseen. The uncanny find that prods at Sophie's skull - Alice's death date is uninscribed. This stone that has been planted in the ground for over a hundred years begs the question, is she really here? In Sophie's quest to uncover the truth, the past speaks through a serendipitous find - a metal box containing Alice Green's journal and family heirlooms. Within the pages, Sophie learns of Alice's royal roots in Ireland and how unfortunate events led to her brother Danny's disappearance. A swift departure prompted by her father's suspicious behavior leads to refuge and reflection for Alice. The path leads to human connection, bringing together friends, soulmates and community through an arduous but rewarding journey.
