Descriere The Change Center: A Week On Ward - Howard D. Blazek

This is the story of a week the author spent on a closed psychiatric ward when he suffered a mental breakdown. He had returned to graduate school in his late 20s, hoping to be the great psychologist of his dreams. Instead, he woke up in a hospital bed not knowing who or where he was. This is his story. Follow him, his thoughts, perceptions and will to survive. \n\n \n\n This book is recommended for readers interested in psychology, the impact of psychedelic drugs on mental health, and personal transformation stories. It offers a unique perspective on the healing process, not just from the physical aspect but also the mental and spiritual upheavals accompanying such deep, introspective journeys. It is a memoir that, once started, is difficult to stop reading until the final word. - Reviewed by Carol Thompson for Readers' Favorite \n\n \n\n
