Descriere Evidence-Based Investing: To Invest Well Over a Long-Term, Sometimes You Have to First Survive the Short-Term - C. Theodore Hicks

\nEvidence-Based Investing introduces readers to active investment management and challenges the investment community. \nC. Theodore Hicks II, founder of Hicks & Associates Wealth Management, LLC, explains why a truly active investment approach is more appropriate today than ever before. He also urges the investment community to stop relying on academic theories that are null and void. \nToo often, the investment community and financial media extol the virtues of investing for the long term without thinking about surviving the short term. Our nation's history is replete with examples of prolonged periods of negative stock and bond market environments. \nThe reality is that to invest well over the long term, you must survive today, tomorrow, and next week. \nBut how? \nThe author walks readers through his firm's approach of how his team applies a rigorous, rules-based philosophy to grow investment portfolios while minimizing the downside of market volatility. \nIf you're inclined to question conventional wisdom and want a roadmap to develop your own rules to achieve maximum returns, you'll find this book an indispensable resource.\n
