On Gender Identity - Metropolitan Youssef

Descriere On Gender Identity - Metropolitan Youssef

\nLiving in a time when homosexuality and transgenderism are not only widely accepted but also celebrated and promoted, we are continually bombarded with misinformation. Are they considered an alternative lifestyle? Are they an illness and a sin? After laying the foundation of the Orthodox Christian principles of sexuality, Metropolitan Youssef sets out to treat this complex topic with sensitivity from Christian, social, and scientific perspectives. His Eminence outlines the stages of change toward full recovery from homosexuality and transgenderism, emphasizing that transforming the heart comes before changing the external behavior. He encourages all to love everyone but hate the sin. This book offers an alternative path where people can live a more abundant life, full of joy and peace, which can only be achieved through developing a genuine relationship with God. H.E. Metropolitan Youssef was ordained Bishop in 1992 and elevated to Metropolitan in 2022 for the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States. His Eminence has completed a Ph.D. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.\n
