Matthew Rice's Year in the Garden - Matthew Rice

Descriere Matthew Rice's Year in the Garden - Matthew Rice

\nIn 2012 renowned artist, designer and author Matthew Rice bought the estate of Ham Court in the village of Bampton in the Cotswolds. Covering several acres of land, the garden, orchard and paddock surround fragments of the medieval Bampton Castle and, as well as the garden, there is a productive greenhouse and a small farmyard with a variety of animals.\n \nIn this book, Matthew describes a typical year spent at Ham Court describing his daily life and work in the garden and estate. Month by month, he documents the tasks, triumphs, and occasional mishaps of life in the garden--alongside charming anecdotes, practical advice and delicious recipes to make the most of seasonal produce. Though the site is unusual, the challenges and joys he encounters are the same that any gardener would have. He also writes about the long history of the estate and its buildings and how that has shaped his design decisions in the garden. Alongside the text, the book is richly illustrated with Matthew's distinctive artwork to make this a charming, unmissable book for gardeners and nature lovers alike.\n
