Descriere Occult Alphabets Scripts and Ciphers: From the Western Mystical Tradition - M. B. Jackson

In the mundane, materialistic world, modern man is largely unaware of such a thing as an occult alphabet. In the Western tradition, the letters of the alphabet are the sacred symbols of God and man and is a complete system of magic and philosophy was used by God to create the Universe through the utterance of Divine language. He taught its secrets to the Angels, who taught them to Adam who passed the knowledge on to the Hebrew Patriarchs, using the letters themselves as memory aids to do so. Although the letter sounds have come to us unchanged, the symbols have changed to suit the Earthly needs of man for recording human speech and business transactions. They are the foundation and the model for all the occult alphabets, sacred scripts and magic ciphers used by man to record the Word of God and the teachings of His prophets as Scripture in Holy books. Occult Alphabets, Scripts and Ciphers is a journey through history from the dawn of marking and writing, following the continuous evolution of alphabetic script, through to the development of Greek and Jewish cabala, the transmission of religious writings and the invention of magical scripts and alpha-numeric ciphers, formulated to reveal or to hide the occult findings of individual magicians and the esoteric knowledge of secret societies.
