Christianism in its Youth - Daniel Puia-Dumitrescu

Descriere Christianism in its Youth - Daniel Puia-Dumitrescu

The search for a pattern for the contemporary Christian Eucharist takes us back into the history much before Christ s earthly birth. Ancient traditions as the Roman and Greek banquets and festive meals were an image of what will follow in the Christian religion the world was preparing for its Saviour. Coming closer to the place were the Christian religion was born the Jewish monotheist world was the proper environment for our Lord s incarnation. The New Testament accounts of the Last Supper give us one of the first written Eucharistic patterns which will be followed by Christians in the first centuries.
