Choosewisely a Daily Devotional - Shawn Brandon Molesphini

Descriere Choosewisely a Daily Devotional - Shawn Brandon Molesphini

\nOne might say that the Bible is a detailed record of three types of choices: wise choices made by God as He shepherds mankind along the challenging road of life; wise choices mankind makes when we elect to follow our Shepherd along this road; and then the dubious choices mankind makes when we try to wrest control from God and drive off-road on our own.... The Good News is that God doesn't leave us to navigate on our own but gives us His Word to guide us. Thus the genesis for this book of devotions-the wisdom of scripture applied to the everyday choices each one of us has to make. Choose...to ask the tough questions; Choose...to remember and give thanks; Choose...to embrace 'unanswered' prayers. Each devotional title begins-like the book itself-with this theme of conscious, prayerful choice, a theme reinforced again and again, not with frenzied, fist-shaking, spittle-flying thunder, but with the quiet guidance of a humble mentor. Shawn Molesphini has wisely chosen to keep each devotional to no more than one page in length, encouraging readers to spend time in worshipful reflection rather than reading something other than their Bible. Written in a friendly, conversational, earnest and warm voice, filled with careful, vivid allegories and clear, engaging analogies, Choose Wisely: Applying God's Word to Your Choices, A Daily Devotional is invaluable for every believer, not just Bible scholars or veteran theologians. This is for the believer seeking renewed inspiration and a comfortable chair to talk to his Lord-and also for the lost person desperate for truth. It helps readers discern how their choices can have infinite impact for themselves, their family, community and the world. There's no preaching here, no attempt at indoctrination; only gentle, godly insights and enriching lessons on spiritual growth and successful living presented with freshness and sincerity.
