Praying With Purpose - Anthony Messeh

Descriere Praying With Purpose - Anthony Messeh

\nIf you some days feel like your prayers bounce off the ceiling. Other days, you get distracted or don't even try. Then you are in good company. Because regardless of these feelings we know deep down that every good thing that God wants to pour into our lives, He pours through prayer.\n \n\n \nThis book is an invitation to a journey to reshape how you see prayer-not as a chore but as the place where life with God truly happens. Think of it like building a house. Every house has different rooms, each serving a purpose. There's the family room, for relaxed, heartfelt conversations. There's the living room, where formal, structured prayers take place. The study invites us to connect with God through His Word, and the dining room calls us to pray for others. Finally, there's the bedroom-the place of deepest intimacy, found in liturgical prayer.\n \n\n \nBut the journey doesn't stop there. The second part of the book is a group of contemplations on the Lord's Prayer, these timeless words that Jesus taught his disciples. Through these reflections, you'll see how this prayer that we often pray, sometimes without paying attention to the words can be a powerful way to experience God's presence and promises.\n
